The Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has appealed to assembly members in the Western Region to endorse all the nominated MMDCEs to quick start development in the region.
The minister made the remarks when he was swaering-in the newly elected MCE for Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly (EKMA).
Effia Kwesimintsim Municipal Assembly was part of the 38 newly created Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies by President Nana Addo.
Mr. Kojo Acquah was first confirmed as the MCE for assembly in 2018 after accumulating 20 ‘Yes’ vote from the assembly members.
The 20 assembly members has again voted 100 percent to confirm his nomination as appointed by the president for the second time to assume the position as the EKMA boss.
Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, who in an interview after the swearing-in appealed to the rest of the assemblies in the region to emulate EKMA assembly members and give all the nominees 100 percent Yes votes.
The MCE elect Hon. Kojo Acquah who expressed thankful to the assembly members for his 100% endorsement.
He said his endorsement is an indication of unity and togetherness that has prevailed in the assembly and promised to continue to ensure all his ongoing projects within the municipality are executed for the development of the assembly.
