The Municipal Chief Executive of Nzema East, Elizabeth Dorcas Amoah, has urged Ghanaians to come together and work to ensure the growth of the economy.

According to her, the Ghanaian economy can become better when we put our individual and political interest aside and work together for the country’s development.
The MCE in an address at the 65th Independence anniversary held at Axim Victoria Park indicated that everybody has a role to play to develop the country.
She entreated Ghanaians to become united and make Ghana better, adding that “with National unity, we can as one people buss ourselves together to the promise land.”
Hundreds of people, including heads of department, security, traders among others graced the occasion as Ghana celebrates 65th anniversary.
The Paramount Chief of Lower Axim Traditional Council, Awulae Attibrukusu II was the chairman for the occasion.

Contingents from the various security agencies, students and teachers drawn from the Ghana Education Service, and civil society organisations (CSOs), including 4 Senior High, 8 Primary, 6 Cadet and 8 Junior High Schools among others partake in the parade 65th Independence Day anniversary.
The MCE, Madam Elizabeth Dorcas Amoah urged the people to be focused to have the economy strengthened even though the political parties will continue to disagree on many forms.

The Education Director of Nzema East, Nathaniel K. Affum, also addressing the dignitaries at the independence parade commended the assembly for being very supportive in the delivery of quality education in the Municipality such as monitoring, teachers’ motivation, renovation of dilapidated classrooms among other educational infrastructures.
