The Western Regional Minister, Dr. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah has described President Akufo-Addo as Western region’s best president since the fourth republic.
According to him, looking at the projects, the president is executing in the region, it is evident and undeniable fact that the president is the best president when it comes to the developmental projects in the region.
The Western Regional Minister made the remarks when he visited some projects undertaken by the government in the Western Region as part of his 3-day tour to selected MMDAs.
Dr. Okyere Darko-Mensah cited construction of Ezilinbo mini harbour, Axim Fishing harbour, construction of 11 hospitals in the region, including new regional hospital and upgrading of Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital to a Teaching Hospital, the first Interchange in the region, rehabilitation of Market Circle and the construction of 100km new railway line that will link Nsuta-Tarkwa within 12 months, construction of Schools Dormitories and roads among other infrastructural projects as evident to his claims.
He also mentioned Free SHS policy, Planting for Food and Jobs, Ghana Beyond Aid and other social intervention programmes rolled out by Nana Akufo-Addo to develop the region.
He expressed appreciation to the president for increasing SHS enrollment by 483% from 13000 to, 63000 and also increasing jobs in the public sector from 320,000 to 681,000.
Dr. Okyere Darko-Mensah said, the Akufo-Addo-Bawamia government will work to ensure the ailing economy is restored. Adding that President Akufo-Addo has done it before and will do it again.
“When NDC government led by former President John Dramani Mahama destroyed the economy by eating all the meat, leaving to the bones. It was the able government of Nana Akufo-Addo who worked to restored back the economy.”
He asked Ghanaians to be rest assured because Nana Addo will take the country to the dream land and better their lives.
“Even in COVID-19 era, President Akufo-Addo was executing projects. This should inform you that Nana Addo is committed to the task given him, and he is delivering.”
“All over Ghana, there are projects ongoing and these are massive projects. So, we can see the loans this government went for have been invested profitably.”
