Ex-service men of Dutch Komen have cut the sod for the construction of a 8-seater Ultra-modern toilet and bath facilities at Dutch Komenda in the Komenda Edina Ebirem Aguafo municipality.
The sod cutting which signify the commencement of the project is aimed at addressing the issue of open defecation in the area.
The WC toilet facility, according to the people will bring a face lift to the people and the commuter’s attitude.
The project is fully funded by the Ex-service men in the country and abroad.
The community has only one toilet which is currently not functional due to the Assembly member of the area who ripped off the roofing of the only toilet in the area service over 5,000 population.

The Leader of the group, Colonel (Red) Nathaniel Kobina Adjei Kraikue, in an interview after the sod cutting said, the construction of the toilet facility is part of their contribution to the people.
“We’re doing this to end open defecation in the area”.
Colonel Rtd Adjei-Mensah who on behalf of the community thanked the Ex-service men for the exercise said toilet is one of the essential facility every developed community is needed.
A Resident, Mr. Eshun also expressed gratefulness to the Ex-service men and said 5e project when completed will bring a great relief to the entire community.
