A new volunteer group, “Bawamia for Development” (B4D), in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Sekondi-Takoradi and its environs has been launched.

The group, whose mandate is to work to ensure that the Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawamia becomes the Flagbearer of NPP in the upcoming flagbearership race in November.

The group who are mainly youth from polling stations form Takoradi Constituency, Sekondi Constituency, Shama Constituency, Effia Constituency, Essikadu-Ketan Constituency, Wassa East Constituency, Ahanta West Constituency and Mpohor Constituency pledged their commitment towards the victory of Dr. Bawamia in the presidential primaries.

According to them, they will do everything humanly possible to support the candidature of Dr. Bawamia to become the flagbearer of the party and project him to become the president to consolidate the reforms he has started in the country for a great economic transformation for the country.

The launching which was held at the Takoradi Constituency Office (Patriot House) was dubbed: “Victory is assured, and it is possible with Dr. Bawamia as the next president of Ghana.”

Speaking at the launch, the Western Regional Coordinator of the Bawamia for Development, Justice Acquah, said members of the group are the polling stations executives who have voluntarily dedicated themselves to campaign for the Vice President to become the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party because he is the only candidate among the others to break the eight for the party in the 2024 general elections.

He reiterated that, the track records of Dr. Bawamia speaks for him, adding that he is the person who have succeeded changing Ghana’s political dynamics from insults to issue based.

Thus, he said, among other reasons has rendered the largest opposition party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), found it difficult to debate the NPP in any intellectual discourse.

Mr. Acquah continued that Dr. Bawamia over the years has demonstrated great competency and exceptional leadership quality in leveraging technology to improve and correct the structural deficiencies of the traditional economy, thus being the best choice of the party.

He said, the vibrancy and organisational skills of the group would have a great impact of the primaries and assured Dr. Bawamia of the massive victory for him in the Western region.

He highlighted on the credentials of Dr. Bawamia, adding that he is the surest bet for the party and also the only candidate who is a nightmare to the NDC party come 2024 general elections.

Mr. Justice Acquah, touted the medical drone system, paperless ports, E-pharmacy among others as some of the interventions Dr. Bawamia has implemented to address corruption and other issues in the country.

He appealed to the delegates to support the candidature of Dr. Bawamia and vote for him massively to become the flagbearer of the NPP and ultimately the next president of Ghana.

He implored the members of the group to adopt one-on-one campaign strategy and project Dr. Bawamia to the people, especially those who have not decided yet.

Lets us do everything humanly possible to reach out to as many delegates and help them make a discerning decision by voting for Dr. Bawamia to maintain the party in power and the country’s development come 2024.

The launching was supported and graced by Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, Chief Executive Officer of GNPC Foundation, Dr. Dominic Eduah, District Chief Executive of Mpohor, Ignatius Assah Mensah, the Western Regional NADMO Director, Abdul Ganiyu Mohamed, among other dignitaries.
